Babson College Recap: Generation Green Event

This past weekend Jute and Jackfruit had the opportunity to speak at Babson and participate in their Generation Green gathering. We had a terrific time thanks to all the interesting and motivated students we met, all keen on the environment! The event was impressively run by members of the freshman class who are taking a course in entrepreneurship. A portion of the students in the class started green companies during the semester and this event provided an opportunity to showcase the companies (such as a staple-less stapler company) as well as hear from local area green start-ups.

Above panelists include Shana Yansen of Jute and Jackfruit, Greg Boesel, Founder of Swaptree.com (a very cool site which I encourage you to check out!) and Alice Leung, Founder of Top Sprouts (also a cool business, site to launch soon). A special thanks to Brittany Whitenack for organizing the event so well, and to all the students who participated!
We held a raffle for a candy wrapper purse at Babson, so would like to take this opportunity to announce the lucky winner…….it is Fllanza Bacaj! Congratulations Fllanza! Fllanza will receive her choice of a Nahui Ollin Itsy Bitsy purse.
We’d also like to send out a reminder to all visitors and readers to join us on our Facebook page to stay up to date on our latest news, collections and discounts.
