Jute and Jackfruit Hits Design Hive Cambridge Sunday September 13, 2009

Join us at the independent designers market in Cambridge, Design Hive, Sunday September 13th at the Maria Baldwin School (from 10am to 5pm) in Porter Square. You’ll find our latest styles and fashion for fall 09 in Boston while the DJ plays in the background and you nibble on coffee and homemade cookies from the school. Boston’s Fashion Week is just around the corner, so its definitely time to preview the seasons hottest new styles in the Boston area. When it comes to eco-fashion, organic and fair trade clothing for women, Jute and Jackfruit is your resource. Launched last year, Jute and Jackfruit is one of the first online boutiques in the Boston area to bring socially-conscious and environmentally-focused designer clothing, jewelry and handbags to women here. Come check us out and see what we have in store for fall. We are very excited about these new collections and proud to be pioneering sustainable, stylish clothing for Cambridge and Boston-area women. All of our pieces are made from sustainable fibers and materials such as organic cotton, Tencel, hemp, jute, recycled fabric, soy, bamboo and organic wool and are made in a socially conscious, ethical manner.
If you missed the Design Hive’s last year (their first year), the fall is the time to come. Each market hosts a different different set of talented designers and artists accompanied by a DJ and snacks, so its always a good idea to come more than once even if you did venture last year to the Sunday market.
Jute and Jackfruit’s collections that we will be showcasing are all unique, limited edition and very high quality. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to see our earliest wave of fall collections including Kelly Lane and Rebe bursting with color and style. We are the sole carrier of a number of cutting edge eco-designers in the Boston-area. You’ll be able to puruse these styles, and even try items on at the Design Hive market. If you cant come on Sunday, we will also be at SOWA the following week (September 19 and 20th at the SOWA Market in Boston’s South End). At both of these markets, we will be showcasing our handmade recycled soda pull tab, candy wrapper and other recycled material handbags in addition to our clothing and jewelry.
