Fair Trade the White House is a coalition of fair trade vendors and organizations that are inviting the First Lady to join the fair trade movement and make the White House a “Fair Trade Home.”
As a member of Green America and a big supporter of Fair Trade, Jute and Jackfruit wouldn’t miss this terrific opportunity to be part of the “Fair Trade the White House” campaign (Yes, we did!) to help make the White House more fair and ethical in its purchases. You can join in too: just click on their website and send a very quick personalized letter to Michelle Obama.
Fair Trade the White House also recently highlighted Jute and Jackfruit in their blog (thank you, Fair trade the White House!) Check it out their post!
Many other large, medium and small companies and non-profits are coming out to support this terrific initiative. You can also help the movement along by writing a letter to Michelle Obama about your support for this cause (more information below).
Everybody can participate in this great campaign.
