DJ Keith did a fabulous job (below) playing hits from the 80′s, 90′s for some up-beat Sunday market tunes. With a good mix of jewelry designers, paper artists, clothing designers, Cantabrigians kicked off September browsing and buying some of the latest local, handmade styles of the season.

Our hottest item yesterday was definitely the Maryanne coat of the Rebe collection (featured below) with the cropped one quick to follow. Perfect for fall, these recycled fleece jackets are remarkably cozy, warm, feminine and fun. The Feral Childe Ansel Coat (featured above) was also a big hit.

If you missed out on yesterday’s event, stay tuned for November 1, 2009 for the next one we will be attending. We will be showcasing more of fall and winter 09 eco-fashion collections, including part II of our Kelly Lane collection, Feral Childe and Indigenous Designs.

Our handbags made from recycled candy wrappers and soda pull tabs were also as popular as usual.

Our Escama Studio handbags are not as well known yet in Boston, but women have been responding with great enthusiasm for these bags! People just love them and the fact that they are handmade, fair trade (and empower women artisans in Brazil from resource-poor settings), and eco-friendly (made with recycled soda pull tabs) makes them all the more incredible. Each one tells a great story.
