Recess Time! Feral Childe’s School Play Fall 09 Collection at Jute and Jackfruit
Feral Childe, our cutting edge eco-design team, presents their new fall-winter collection with yet another round of one-of-a-kind colors, designs and impeccable fits. The collection this year is inspired by ‘school play’ slightly structured, yet daringly fun and flattering. The collection can be worn separately, together, to work or ‘play’ and mixed and matched with a wide range of pieces in your wardrobe.
Each piece has exaggerated shapes and finishes, unprecedented colors with unique hand-painted patterns (such as on the micromodal legging and the Stove top tee). The eco-friendly and sustainable fabrics are a combination of wool, silk-cotton, silk micromodal, Tencel and organic cotton. Feral CHilde has brought us just what we need to jump start fall — looking immaculately sharp, fashion-forward and eco-modern. Find Feral Childe’s signature hand-crafted touches in each of these limited edition garments, which will undoubtedly last for seasons to come.
The Wool Dufferin Tunic in lime (featured above) is an eco-stylish tunic, very warm and comfortable made with wool. Find amazing artistic details in this number including layered collar with coral silk lining underneath, coral lined pockets and handmade buttons lined with the same lime green wool. The coral lined pockets are the icing on the cake for this fall must-have item.
The tunic can be worn with leggings, slim pants or simply as a dress. Goes perfectly with the Neon Stovetop Tee. Also shown above is the Nahui Ollin Tutti Frutti ER bag.
Black and White Tunic Dress (also know as the “Grandpa Sweater’) featured above is Feral Childe’s one-of-a-kind tunic dress with their signature fabric folds in front. The catchy black-white design is hand screen printed and the pockets are lined pockets with the same fabric. The tunic has stretch and is very soft and comfortable. Easily dressed up or down, worn as a dress, over leggings or slim pants.
The Neon Stovetop Tee (above)
Original printed tee made with certified organic cotton. The front has neon and black modern design. Very soft and comfortable on the skin. Goes perfectly with the Wool Dufferin Tunic.
Scarlet Queen Street Jeans are one-of-a-kind funky pants with hand screen-printed fabric design. The waist is underlined with a silk elastic. Has many details including lined zipper on the side, flair pleated and four black buttons at the base.
The stand out elements of the Silk Micro Modal Leggings (featured above) are the silky soft feel as well as the original screen printed design on the fabric, which is at once subtle and artsy. Incredibly soft on the skin. Wear these leggings under any skirt or tunic, to add some flare to your outfit. Or simply wear them around the house or to yoga for something different – and incredibly comfortable. Also featured in this picture is the very soft pocket skirt in latte by Indigenous Designs. Pairs nicely with the silk micromodal leggings.
Feral Childe hand dyes, hand paints and hand screen prints a majority of their fabrics and they make their own buttons (such as dog and puzzle shape buttons). As a result, every item has an unique artisan look and feel.
