Jute and Jackfruit at Soni Masur’s Boutique Show

Jute and Jackfruit participated in Soni Masur’s annual boutique show Nov 5 – 7  2009 in Needham, MA and would like to thank Soni and all the wonderful women who came by for a very successful event! We enjoyed meeting all of you and especially had a terrific time Thursday night’s Wine & Cheese kick off with special guest Jennifer doing Henna Tattoos!

Jute and Jackfruit represented eco-fashion with our latest Kelly Lane, Feral Childe and Indigenous Designs collections, as well as our recycled candy wrapper and soda pull tab handbags.

Soni Masur, creator of jewelry and hostess of this event, creates beautiful one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces from new and vintage beads, jewels and precious finds. Other participating artists included Marty Girlz who make handbags and accessories from beautiful ribbons and fabrics, SwedArt (which features handmade bracelets and necklaces from deer skin and special metals made by traditional people of northern Sweden), Josephine Plaszewski  the “Queen of Green Art”, Fannie Gilarde with her positive tees and Harriet Yaffe with an array of scarves and purses made by Guatemala women.
