Stewart+Brown Spring 2010 Arrives to Jute and Jackfruit!

Jute and Jackfruit is delighted to introduce our newest eco-chic designer label: Stewart + Brown. Started in 2002, Stewart + Brown is a well-established eco-fashion company behind sophisticated, feminine women’s premium knitwear. Made from premium eco-fabrics, all made in the USA, Stewart +Brown are committed to using only the bare minimum of the Earth’s precious resources in the design and production of their collections and to preserving Mother Earth.

Behind this very successful brand are two dynamic designers: Karen Stewart, a trained painter, and Howard Brown, a trained graphic artist. Accomplices in life and work, their ethical eco-fashion label is based in Los Angeles, California and made in the USA.

Each unique Stewart+Brown collection reflects a fusion of experience and insight filtered through the duo’s creative core and rendered into their own unique and personal aesthetic. Stewart and Brown find inspiration in all aspects of life. We are very excited to introduce Spring 2010 collection which characterizes their classic style expressed in fresh fabrics, colors and styles for the season.

The Eva Smock Waist Dress (featured above left)

Made from hemp jersey, this perfect dress in deep sea blue color is a wardrobe essential for Spring. Transition from a day at the office to an evening out seamlessly in this dress. The Mina Wrap Dress (featured above, Right)

For a beautiful day, this stylish eco-wrap dress in black is one-of-a-kind piece. Wear any occasion, especially office or party the dress has elegant details including a deep-v full collar front placket and wide-band bottom. Layer this dress easily with your favorite cardie or jacket and blazer. Ties at the side of the waist. The fabric is 100% organic jersey heather cotton, giving a natural lightness to the dress.

The Long Sleeve Lengthened Tee

Casual chic style, this long sleeve lengthened tee available in black, gray and sand print is made from 100% organic pima cotton. Cut with extra length and styled with tricolor merrow stitching along a wide neck and raw edges along sleeve. Can be worn for any occasion with a black legging, dressed up or down.  Slim fit, hits mid-thigh. Very soft. Great for layering or as a stand alone top.

The Petal Smock Tunic
