Earth Day 2010 Eco-Fashion Giveaway: Announcing the Winners!

A wonderful thank you to all those who participated in this years contest. We received some amazing quotes and personal testimonials on what people are doing to reduce their environmental impact this year and why Earth Day is important to them. Wow. Truly inspirational to read!  If you have not already, do read these earth day testimonials. Together, this is evidence that we can make a difference.

Now, to announce the 3 lucky winners!

Our Grand Prize winner goes to Jules, congratulations, Jules!

Jules states in response to our 3 questions the following:

1) I recycle everything possible, I ride a bike instead of driving a car, we use reusable bags when shopping, we grow our own vegetables, and we compost!
2) I would like to start using less resources this month ( taking shorter showers) and starting a city wide recycling initiative!~
3) Earth day/Month is important to me because it opens people’s eyes to the sad state of the eco-system today! We can hopefully make people realize how important it is to recycle, use sustainable/renewable resources, an get them into the green movement! she will

1) I eat a vegan diet in order to not participate in the impact raising animals for food has on the earth.

2) Buy only second hand or eco friendly clothing! I just became obsessed with this after realizing everything else in my life is organic or low impact on the earth-why not my clothes too.

3) Earth Day is important to me because we under appreciate all that the earth provides us with such as the water we need each day to survive, the vegetables on our table, and the air we breath. It helps us to pause and reflect on the bounty we have around us that does not have to do with material goods mass produced or the stressful lives we lead each day centered around jobs and money.
