Amy Wright
Amy Wright recently completed her freshman year of college, where she is focusing on Economics and International Development. She has always had an interest in fashion, and is eager to see how sustainable practices can positively affect the industry. She loves to travel, and is passionate about the environment and the empowerment of women world-wide. She is writing for Jute and Jackfruit Summer 2012!
Julia Bolt
Julia is a human rights activist, model, writer, performance dancer, acapella singer, and a recipient of a Fulbright scholarship in Bulgaria. She is fluent in German and is very interested in fair labor laws, reducing child exploitation, fair trade and ethical fashion. She led fair trade campaigns on her former college campus and recently returned from a year in Bulgaria doing research for her Fulbright. She then spent many months of traveling through Asia with lots of great stories to share. Julia is also a model for Jute and Jackfruit!
Tori Mistick
Tori believes the worst crime of fashion is to blend in, and vies to be unique in everything she does for herself and her clients. In addition to managing social media for a variety of clients large and small, she maintains the eco-fashion blog EcoFashionistas. Tori is also co-founder of the recently formed Pittsburgh Fashion Council.
Shana Yansen
Shana is the founder and owner of Jute and Jackfruit. She is passionate about the environment, fashion and women’s empowerment. She is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Honduras and worked for many years in international health and development, mostly in Asia. In addition to running Jute and Jackfruit, Shana also recently became a mom to Kai Jones.
